Chestnut Brae is a sustainable garden and many of the garden plants and features are from the gardens of old. In olden days and at Chestnut Brae, plants are used to soothe the mind and inspire the spirit. Celtic witches were healers and Chestnut Brae’s garden continues the tradition of using plants for medicine, food, health and a lot more. This guided one and a half hour tour takes you on a discovery tour of the past, but offers ideas for the modern garden. The tour concludes with a chestnut biscuit and coffee or tea or herbal tea at the end.
