Our fresh chorizo sausages are crafted from heritage chestnut-fed pigs, raised in a free-range environment at Chestnut Brae Farm. The pigs’ diet of organic chestnuts during chestnut season gives the meat a deep, unique flavor. We raise our pigs using regenerative farming practices, rotating them across different pastures to enhance soil health and improve future crops. This sustainable approach benefits both the pigs and the land, supporting better crop and human health.
Since chestnut-fed pork is only available during and shortly after chestnut season, typically lasting until November or December, we email our community when it becomes available.
