Pork Hock

Our chestnut fed heritage pasture raised pork can only be produced when we have chestnuts and therefore the product is available from chestnut season onwards until we run out of chestnuts. We usually have pork until November or December. We email our customer community when we have pork available.

Pork is unable to be ordered through our website, please email us for product availability. Perth delivery locations can be scheduled, as well as the option to come to our farm and pick up your meat.

Our pork hocks are a versatile and flavorful cut, perfect for slow roasting, braising, or adding depth to soups and stews. Rich in collagen, they create a succulent, melt-in-your-mouth texture when cooked low and slow. Chestnut Brae’s free-range, chestnut-fed pigs are raised using regenerative farming practices, which not only benefit the pigs but also enrich the soil and promote future crop health.

Try pairing pork hocks with hearty winter vegetables, or braise them in a mix of cider, stock, and herbs for a traditional, warming meal. They’re also excellent when slow-cooked with lentils or beans for a comforting dish.

Meat orders are managed through our mailing list, where we regularly update availability and can organise personal deliveries to Perth and the southwest. Please note, we cannot post meat.
