About
Discover a beautiful hidden valley with a secret fifty year old rural heritage garden on a rolling hillside of a working sweet chestnut farm.
The 60 minute tour begins in our heritage David Austin rose garden where guests will see unusual rare trees, shrubs and flowers while learning the historical stories behind them.
Rare plants include Bunya Bunya Pine, Japaneses Cedar and a range of salvias. Deciduous trees are a blaze of colour in autumn when Liquidamber, Japaneses Maple and Golden Ash, Claret Ash and ornamental pear and plum compete with the chestnut orchards in their display.
The tour takes visitors on a journey around the terraced garden which ten years ago, the owners, John (a qualified horticulturist) and Linda restored to its former glory. They are now proud to share the garden and all its beauty with you.
