Chestnut flour’s tender texture and sweet flavour make wonderful pancakes, muffins, polenta, gnocchi and pastries. Chestnut flour contains high quality proteins with essential amino acids, dietary fibre, and low amount of fat. It also contains vitamin E, vitamin B group, potassium, phosphorous, and magnesium – something that many gluten-free products lack. Paleo baked goods can be prepared with chestnut flour & it can be used instead of almond flour in recipes. The flour can also be used to thicken sauces.
